Arsenal icon, Paul Merson, has made a fresh Premier League title claim involving the Gunners and Manchester City.
Merson wants Arsenal not to lose hope in the Premier League title even if they lose against Manchester City on Wednesday.
According to him, Arsenal may be relying on favours elsewhere.
Arsenal are currently five points ahead of Man City, who have two games in hand.
“I am still quite confident, I think the fixtures will catch up with Man City. The one game you don’t want to play in-between Real Madrid is Everton away,” Merson said on Sky Sports.
“Sean Dyche is going to make it very difficult. This is why everyone loves the Premier League. Top [Arsenal] has just played bottom [Southampton], and they have had to score two goals in the last minute.
“Someone only got to run through next week, or two weeks’ time and Ederson comes out to give away a penalty or gets a red card. It changes that quickly. Man City beat Arsenal 3-1 away, a few days later they went to Nottingham Forest and drew 1-1.
“They could’ve won 100-1! That is how quick it changed, and it was back in Arsenal’s hands. If I was Arsenal, I would not lose faith yet. Honestly, I would not.”
