Manchester United boss, Erik Ten Hag appears to have found a new defence partnership at the club.
The Dutchman partnered Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw in the heart of United defence in the FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton on Sunday.
After the game, the Dutchman hailed the new defensive partnership after it helped Manchester United secure their place in the FA Cup final.
Regular starters for ten Hag, the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are all ruled out for the rest of the campaign.
Harry Maguire was listed for Sunday’s trip to Wembley, with the club captain serving a suspension.
Ten Hag decided to move Shaw, a natural left-back, inside to partner Lindelof.
The two showed promise as a new duo at the back.
“I thought Victor and Luke Shaw played brilliantly. They had great co-operation with Casemiro,” Ten Hag told BBC.
