Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has hailed Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, describing him as a super player.
The 25-year-old moved to Newcastle from Olympique Lyon for £35 million and has since changed the complexion of the team.
He has helped the Magpies climb to third in the Premier League table, scoring three and providing four assists in 25 league games this campaign.
The Brazilian’s form has led to interest from the likes of Liverpool who are monitoring him for potential summer transfer but aren’t too optimistic.
“Super player. Super player. He has got that lovely balance of creativity, passing and skill with an appetite to work back, defend and spot danger,” Murphy said according to HTC.
“When you’ve got that balance, and you’re good at both, you become an elite footballer.”
