Former Arsenal captain, Patrick Vieira has heaped praise on the duo of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Even though both players could not stop Arsenal from being bashed 4-1 by Manchester City at the Etihad on Wednesday, they have been so important for the Gunners’ title race this season.
Kevin de Bruyne (2) and one goal each from Erling Haaland and John Stones condemned the north London side to a heavy defeat inside the Etihad,
Arsenal are now two points clear of the Citizens, with the Gunners having played two games more.
Saka and Martinelli have scored 28 goals and made 16 assists between them in the league so far.
“I think they are brilliant, they are really important, they score some really important goals,” Vieira told BT Sport.
“They work hard out of possession, they run in behind. There’s a lot of activity. They are showing such maturity in these games.
“And their strength in the 1v1s. They are really good runners…”
