Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has slammed Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale for his role in Manchester City’s 4-1 win over the Gunners in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Manchester City put themselves as favourites to win the Premier League after beating their rivals 4-1 inside the Etihad with midfielder Kevin de Bruyne scoring twice and Erling Haaland and John Stones also on the score sheet for the hosts.
This means that Arsenal are now just two points ahead of the champions who have two games in hand.
Former Liverpool defender, Carragher labelled Ramsdale’s efforts during the game, especially leading to Manchester City’s first goal, as ‘very poor’.
“Pep talked after the game about using Haaland with more direct passes, he was unplayable tonight when getting the ball early.
“The CBs [centre-backs] for Arsenal were not great, but very few defenders can cope with him physically. I think that was one of Haaland’s best games for Man City,” he tweeted.
