Former Premier League and Championship player Darren Bent has hailed Arsenal goalkeeper, saying that without the England goalkeeper, Manchester City would have scored six to seven goals against the Mikel Arteta side.
City hammered the Gunners 4-1 but Ramsdale came in for praise for preventing a worse scoreline for Arteta’s side.
Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones and Erling Haaland scored to ensure Pep Guardiola’s side reduced to two points the gap between them and Arsenal which in recent weeks had played a series of draws against Liverpool, West Ham United and Southampton.
Bent noted that the scoreline could have been worse if it weren’t for Ramsdale.
The Arsenal goalkeeper made five saves and two clearances.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker told talkSPORT: “He was brilliant, by the way. Without him, it could have been five, six, seven.”
