Liverpool legend, Graeme Souness, has identified the main problem Chelsea’s potential incoming new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, will face at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are close to appointing Pochettino as their next permanent new manager ahead of next season.
The Blues had sacked Graham Potter and put Frank Lampard as interim manager until the end of the season.
However, Souness believes Pochettino’s main problem at Chelsea would be to secure a top-level striker.
“What a great job Chelsea would be for Mauricio Pochettino,” Souness told the Daily Mail.
“There are the makings of a very good squad there. His main problem would be exactly the same one that Graham Potter struggled with. The lack of a top-class striker. The challenge is to find one.”
