AS Roma head coach, Jose Mourinho, has turned down an approach from Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.
Mourinho was on Boehly’s shortlist of managerial candidates to manage Chelsea, but according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Portuguese rejected his interest.
It would have meant a third time in charge at Stamford Bridge for Mourinho.
Mourinho still has a year to run on his Roma deal.
Meanwhile, former Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino is expected to be confirmed as the new Chelsea manager in the coming days.
Pochettino will take charge at the end of the season, replacing caretaker boss Frank Lampard.
