Mauricio Pochettino’s choice of goalkeepers at Stamford has been revealed.
Although the Blues’ owners are looking to sign £40million transfer target Andre Onana, the Argentine does not want the Cameroonian goalkeeper.
Instead, the former Tottenham boss, according to the Daily Mail, wants Brentford’s David Raya and Porto’s Diogo Costa.
Manchester United are also interested in signing both goalkeepers.
Pochettino has his reservations about the 27-year-old Onana and Chelsea are likely to consider the alternative targets.
The former PSG manager is expected to take over at Chelsea after the final game of the Premier League season, with a further round of productive talks held last week.
He wants a new goalkeeper at Stamford despite Kepa Arrizabalaga’s relative improvement this season.
Manchester United are likely to pursue a new goalkeeper despite being ready to offer David de Gea a new long-term contract.
However, Chelsea’s second-choice goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who lost his place to Kepa following a dip in form at the start of the current campaign, is expected to leave Chelsea in the summer having rejected several contract offers.
