Manchester City midfielder Rodri has said that he approached their Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid on Tuesday night with ‘revenge’ on his mind.
This was following Manchester City’s defeat to Real Madrid at this stage of the competition last season.
Spain international And Rodri has insisted his teammates have a point to prove after their defeat in the Bernabeu.
He said in the pre-match, who spoke after both sides played out a 1-1 draw at Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, told reporters that, “We will have the chance for revenge.”
Vinicius Junior scored earlier in the first half as Real Madrid were approaching another victory night before Kevin de Bruyne scored late in the game to earn the visitors a draw.
“We have the philosophy you can learn from past experiences, we did a great two games but didn’t go through[last season],” Rodri added.
