Leicester City manager, Dean Smith has revealed forward, Kelechi Iheanacho will return to training next week after a short spell on the sidelines.
Iheanacho sustained a muscle injury in the Foxes draw against Leeds United last month.
The Nigeria international has missed Leicester City’s last two games since copping the injury.
There were fears the 26-year-old could be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.
Smith has however offered a positive injury update on the striker.
“Hopefully he’s due to training earlier next week rather than later.
“We thought he’d only have a build-up of two days before the Newcastle game, but he’s ahead of schedule, which is pleasing for us”, he told a press conference.
Leicester City will host Liverpool at the King Power Stadium next week Monday.
