Inter Milan Chief Executive Officer, Beppe Marotta has said Romelu Lukaku does not want to return to Chelsea this summer.
The Belgian international striker is currently on loan to the Italian giants from Chelsea, for whom he re-signed in 2021.
The Belgian forward endured a difficult spell at Stamford Bridge in the previous season and had to return to Inter Milan on loan last summer.
The former Everton and Manchester United man could be offered the chance to revive his Chelsea career under incoming boss, Mauricio Pochettino but Marotta said he could stay in Italy instead.
Speaking to Rai Radio1, he said: “Lukaku loves Inter, he wants to stay with us. He feels very good here.
“Negotiations with Chelsea? He’s on loan until June 30, then we still don’t know Chelsea’s plans. We’re waiting for that.”
