In a media briefing, Kyari said he welcomes the removal of subsidy and also assured Nigerians that petrol is available so no need for panic buying.

Mele Kyari, the Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, has urged Nigerians to stop panic buying of petroleum products because there is enough supply.

Shortly after President Tinubu during his inauguration speech announced that Subsidy has come to an end, Nigerians trooped to the fuel stations in fear that petrol would become scarce and more expensive.

Black market sellers of petrol also started selling their products around major fuel stations. It was widely reported that some petrol stations have even stopped selling products.

In a media briefing, Kyari said he welcomes the removal of subsidy and also assured Nigerians that petrol is available so no need for panic buying.
