Real Madrid defender, Antonio Rudiger has said he would be happy to be reunited with former Chelsea teammate Kai Havertz at Santiago Bernabeu.
Rudiger said he wants to play with Havertz again at international level.
Havertz is open to leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, with Chelsea ready to listen to offers as they seek to reduce their bloated squad ahead of Mauricio Pochettino’s first season in charge of the club.
The German forward has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer following the departure of Karim Benzema from Los Blancos.
“I would be happy to play with Havertz again at club level.
“Unfortunately, I cannot say much about it because, on the subject of transfers, my word is secondary. It is the club’s decision,” Rudiger told AS.
Havertz joined Chelsea in a deal worth £75million from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2020.
His current contract at Chelsea will expire in 2024 and he has so far shown no indication he wants to extend.
