Manchester United have reportedly given Premier League rival, Newcastle United one condition to sign their defender Harry Maguire this summer.

Maguire has slipped down the pecking order in manager Erik ten Hag’s squad at Old Trafford.

The 30-year-old is behind the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw in Ten Hag’s choice of defenders at Man United.

The Man United captain started just eight league games for the Red Devils this season, with three Premier League clubs interested in signing him this summer.

Newcastle are among them, but according to The Sun, Eddie Howe’s side has been told they must buy Maguire, with a loan move not an option.

That means Manchester United are only willing to sell the England centre-back on a permanent deal.

Apart from Newcastle, the likes of Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in the former Leicester City star.
