Manchester United tried to sign William Saliba from Arsenal, before the defender agreed fresh terms with the Gunners.
Saliba had just one year left on his contract at the Emirates.
After lengthy negotiations, Arsenal have finally reached a breakthrough and the Frenchman has now agreed to extend his deal until 2027.
According to RMC Sport, United were in the running for Saliba and had inquired about his situation.
It is also believed that Bayern Munich were interested in the former Saint-Etienne player if his contract negotiations collapsed.
Saliba emerged as one of Arsenal’s standout performers this season.
