Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa, the federal lawmaker representing Bauchi North senatorial district, has revealed how his wife, Zainab Bulkachuwa helped him and some of his colleagues as President of the Court of Appeal.
Adamu, whose wife was the first female head of the court of appeal, revealed this during the just concluded senate valedictory session. He disclosed that he influenced his wife’s decision as head of the appeal court and extended same to his colleagues.
The senator said;
“Particularly, my wife, whose freedom and independence I encroached upon while she was in office. And she has been very tolerant and accepted my encroachment and extended her help to my colleagues.”
Adamu was interrupted by Senate President, Ahmad Lawan who was also elected on the platform of APC. Lawan interjected, saying “Distinguished, I don’t think this is a good idea going this direction.”
