Manchester United are prepared to rival Arsenal in the race to sign West Ham United captain Declan Rice and will offer Harry Maguire or Scott McTominay as part of the deal.
Arsenal have seen two bids rejected by West Ham for Rice’s signature.
The Gunners are preparing a third offer but remain confident of bringing the England international to the North London club.
However, according to the Daily Telegraph, Man United are now considering an offer of their own and will propose a player-plus-cash deal involving Maguire or McTominay to West Ham.
West Ham have shown interest in McTominay, who is among the players the Red Devils could move on this summer.
West Ham manager David Moyes is also understood to be a huge admirer of Maguire, another who is free to leave Old Trafford having lost his place in manager Erik ten Hag’s starting XI last season.
