Ogun Amotekun commander is dead

David Akinremi, Commander of the Amotekun Corps in Ogun State has reportedly passed on.

Akinremi, a retired Commissioner of Police died on Monday evening, June 26, after battling an undisclosed ailment.

He was appointed by Governor Dapo Abiodun as the pioneer Commander of the newly established Amotekun Corps, in 2021.

Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Soji Ganzallo who confirmed Akinremi’s death, described it as a rude shock.
