Manchester United on Friday, confirmed that Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst have left the Premier League club.
Both players arrived at Old Trafford on loan deals in January.
However, it appears Sabitzer and Weghorst have not done enough to earn permanent moves.
“In terms of incoming loans at United, Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst are due to return to Bayern Munich and Burnley, respectively,” an official club statement read in part.
Weghorst, who was loaned from Burnley, played 31 times for United and managed just two goals.
Sabitzer also scored a brace against Sevilla in the Europa League but will now return to Bayern Munich.
