Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are working to finetune an agreement for the transfer of Brazilian ace Neymar.

This was according to football transfer journalist, Khaled Waleed who reported that the forward is on the brink of returning to the Catalans.

Waleed, a beIN Sports journalist, told Football Transfers (as quoted by Sportskeeda): “Neymar will play in Barcelona if Paris pays the bulk of his salary. Everything is agreed upon between the two clubs, except for the salary, which remains the core point of contention.”

Neymar left Barcelona to join the Parisian club in 2017 when PSG decided to activate his release clause of €222 million as they commenced the rebuilding of their squad.

Before leaving Camp Nou, Neymar played 186 games for Barcelona, scored 105 goals, and provided 76 assists.

The Brazil international has made 173 appearances across competitions for the French club, scoring 118 goals and providing 77 assists.

The player’s future has been up in the air for a while as he has been tipped for a move away from the French capital.
