Former Liverpool player, Dean Saunders has urged his old club to sign Reece James from Chelsea.
Saunders said James, who made 147 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 20 assists, is a great footballer.
James is coming off an injury-plagued 2022-2023 campaign.
The 23-year-old made just 24 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea last season, scoring twice and providing as many assists.
Speaking about the England international, Saunders said on talkSPORT: “I think maybe they [Liverpool] need another centre-back. Sign Reece James from Chelsea.
“Sign him if he can stay fit. He’s a great player.”
