Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler has handed Manchester United the names of two Premier League players to sign this summer.
Man United are looking to build on a promising first season under manager Erik ten Hag in which they finished third and won the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils have already spent £60m to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea but Ten Hag also wants a new goalkeeper and a striker.
The Premier League giants have identified Inter Milan’s Andre Onana as their top target to replace goalkeeper David de Gea but Fowler believes the Manchester giants may look closer to home for a new keeper in the person of Jordan Pickford and also a new striker in the person of Harry Kane.
“I see Manchester United have been strongly linked with Inter’s Andre Onana, and that makes sense because his distribution is sensational, and he played for Ten Hag at Ajax,” Fowler told the Daily Mirror.
“But don’t rule out Jordan Pickford. I know he only signed a new contract last February, but to me that makes it more rather than less likely he will move this summer.
“Pickford only had just over a year left when he signed the new deal, and he is one of the best in the world, the recognised number one for one of the best international teams in the world. He is handy on the ball too.”
“I simply don’t believe, either, they will have to limit their spending this summer, so a centre forward will arrive too, and I still would not rule out Harry Kane.
“I believe he will stay in the Premier League, because he wants to smash the all-time scoring record.
“But Spurs are absolutely miles away, so he will have to move, and United looks the most obvious destination,” he added.
