West Ham United are edging closer to signing Juventus’ Denis Zakaria to replace Arsenal-bound Declan Rice.
Zakaria barely played on loan for Chelsea last season.
But as reported by The Sun, West Ham reckon his defensive qualities can help make up for the imminent £105million loss of Rice, who is all set to join Arsenal this summer.
The report added that Juventus are reportedly happy for Zakaria to move on this summer.
Meanwhile, in another development, Chelsea confirmed on Monday that Teddy Sharman-Lowe will continue his development on loan at Bromley.
Sharman-Lowe, 20, will spend the 2023/2024 campaign at the National League club in south London.
The goalkeeper spent the second half of last season with Havant in the National League South, playing 21 games for the club.
Sharman-Lowe was a member of the England Under-20 FIFA World Cup squad in Argentina this summer.
