Arsenal have made a promise to West Ham that the final paperwork for the transfer of Declan Rice will be sorted by Friday.
Rice is set to join the Gunners in a deal worth up to £105m including add-ons.
The England midfielder has been in Portugal training, as he waits for the transfer to be made official.
The 24-year-old missed Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Nurnberg on Thursday, while wasn’t involved in West Ham’s midweek friendly against Boreham Wood.
According to Sky Sports, West Ham have been promised the relevant paperwork will be “delivered and signed” on Friday.
Rice is expected to be confirmed as an Arsenal player by the time Mikel Arteta’s squad jets off for a pre-season tour of the United States.
