Liverpool are reportedly set to hijack Chelsea’s transfer bid to sign Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, talkSPORT reports.
Chelsea had been in talks with Brighton over the past few weeks in a bid to sign Caicedo this summer transfer window.
The Ecuadorian international is said to be one of Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s top transfer targets after losing the likes of Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, and Mateo Kovacic this summer.
But Pochettino’s side are yet to agree a deal with Brighton for the midfielder’s signature.
However, according to the report, Liverpool will consider making a move for Caicedo.
This comes as Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and midfielder Fabinho agreed to complete their reported moves to Saudi Arabia.
