Seven Arsenal players are not part of Mikel Arteta’s travelling squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.
Ghana international, Thomas Partey, 30, was one of the missing players as he is being linked with a move away from Arsenal.
Partey is wanted by multiple Saudi Pro League clubs and Juventus.
The midfielder was part of the team that played out a 1-1 draw with Numberg in their first official pre-season game on Thursday but was missing from the squad as they boarded their flight to the United States on Sunday.
The Gunners did not provide any reason for the Ghanaian’s absence but have said: “We expect Emile Smith Rowe and Thomas Partey to join us next week.”
Apart from Smith Rowe, others are Nicolas Pepe, Cedric Soares and Albert Sambi Lokonga, who all left Arsenal on loan last season.
Also missing are Nuno Tavares and Reiss Nelson.
