Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said he has no regrets about missing out on the signing of Mason Mount ahead of Saturday night’s friendly with Manchester United.
The Gunners were keen on the England midfielder after it became apparent he was ready to leave Stamford Bridge.
But the 24-year-old ultimately decided on a move to Old Trafford.
Arteta, instead, brought in Mount’s former team-mate, Kai Havertz.
Havertz, along with fellow new boys, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice will likely face United this evening and Arteta has insisted he is happy with Arsenal’s business this summer.
“We are so happy with the players that we’ve signed and the players that we’ve got in our squad,” Arteta replied when asked about Mount’s decision to join United.
