Former Minister of Education Oby Ezekwesili, has slammed the Department of State Security over the charges leveled against the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

On Tuesday morning, July 25, the DSS dragged Emefiele before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos state on a two-count charge of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Expressing dismay at the charges filed against Emefiele, Ezekwesili wrote

‘’So after all the monetary policy damage his boss @MBuhari and the former @cenbank committed against the Nigerian economy and people, it is for “illegal possession of firearms” that State Security charged him to court? Nonsense.”
