Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has insisted that she is not a selfish person in her post-match interview after leading Nigeria to beat Australia 3-2 in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Thursday.
DAILY POST reports that the 28-year-old scored Nigeria’s third goal against Australia when she came off the bench.
She also made history as she became the first African player to score at three different editions of the FIFA tournament.
“Like I said earlier, this team has a lot to offer, and everyone has seen that today,” Oshoala said.
“To be honest, I was not feeling really too well [today], but I am not a selfish person, and this is why you need to be strong for the World Cup.”
