Manchester United have struck an agreement with Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund was left out of the Serie A team’s squad that faced Bournemouth in a preseason friendly on Saturday.
He will cost the Red Devils an initial £64m plus up to £8m in add-ons.
The 20-year-old has already agreed personal terms and will sign a five-year contract with the option of an extra year.
This takes United’s total spending this summer to £179m.
Before Hojlund, Erik ten Hag brought in Mason Mount and Andre Onana.
Ten Hag made Hojlund his No.1 target after it became clear that Tottenham were refusing to budge on their £100m valuation of Harry Kane.
