Bayern Munich and Tottenham were locked in overnight negotiations over Harry Kane, according to Sky Sports News.
Kane has only one year left on his current Spurs contract and wants clarity on his future before the Premier League campaign kicks off this weekend.
Bayern’s third bid is believed to be around £86m and was submitted last weekend.
Kane has enjoyed working under new manager, Ange Postecoglou, but would need to make a decision if the clubs agree a fee.
Bayern believe the England captain wants to join them and are now making desperate efforts to sign him this week.
Negotiations between key figures at both clubs late on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning would suggest the prospect of a deal is still a possibility.
Bayern Munich are likely to come in with a new offer around £95m, with Tottenham valuing the 30-year-old at over £100m.
