David de Gea’s proposed move to Bayern Munich has fallen through.
The Spaniard is currently a free agent after leaving Manchester United this summer.
Red Devils boss, Erik ten Hag decided to allow De Gea go after a series of high-profile errors last season.
De Gea was then linked with the Bundesliga champions amid injury to Manuel Neuer and Yann Sommer’s departure to Inter Milan.
However, Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has now vetoed the 32-year-old’s move.
Sky Sports reporter, Florian Plettenberg tweeted: “FC Bayern will also not sign David De Gea. It’s decided. Tuchel has vetoed it, especially since a return of Manuel Neuer is expected within the next few weeks.
“As reported: Tuchel was pushing for (Manchester City deputy Stefan) Ortega and had a phone call with him – but the deal is close to being off now.
“Talks with De Gea took place. He was willing to join FC Bayern. But it’s off now.”
