Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has named Manchester City as favourites to win the UEFA Champions League this season.

Ancelotti said this at his pre-match press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League group stage tie with Union Berlin on Wednesday.

According to the Italian, Pep Guardiola’s side have not changed much this season.

Recall that Manchester City won the Champions League last season.

“They [Man City] are favourites because they have a squad that allowed them to win last year and they have not changed much.

“But the Champions League, in the final stages, always has surprises.”

“We have never thought that we are favourites, as City will not. I have said that they are because they are the current champions.”
