Former Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has criticized Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for his role in the departure of forward Cristiano Ronaldo from the club last year.
Ronaldo made a sensational return to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021 after being close to joining their Premier League rival Manchester City.
The Portugal captain emerged as the top scorer for Man United in the 2021-22 campaign.
However, after the arrival of Ten Hag the following season, Ronaldo saw his role diminish at Old Trafford.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner eventually left the Red Devils by mutual consent as his contract was terminated in December 2022 after an explosive interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, where he slammed Man United, Ten Hag and some of the club’s players.
