Former Chelsea and Inter Milan head coach, Antonio Conte, is ready to become Napoli’s new manager as the Serie A champions line up a replacement for Rudi Garcia.
Napoli have endured an inconsistent start to the new campaign under Garcia.
They have so far won five games, lost three and drawn two from their first 10 matches in all competitions.
Conte, meanwhile, has been out of work since he was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur in March.
According to widespread reports in Italy, Conte is now due to meet with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss the possibility of returning to Serie A and replacing Garcia.
The Italian would demand a significant say in the club’s transfer strategy before agreeing to a deal.
Garcia is under pressure after Napoli’s inconsistent start to the new campaign.
He was brought in as Luciano Spalletti’s successor in the summer.
