Real Madrid Castilla manager Raul Gonzalez has commented on the idea of him taking over from current Los Blancos head coach Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the season.
Ancelotti is out of contract with Real Madrid at the end of the current season.
However, it looks increasingly unlikely that the Italian will remain as Real Madrid coach when his contract expires.
At the moment, the competition to replace Ancelotti is in motion as the likes of Raul, Xabi Alonso have been linked with the Madrid job.
Speaking to Cadena SER, Raul said he was not thinking about replacing Ancelotti, adding that people will know next year.
“I’m a club person. I am delighted with what I do, the important thing is to help on a daily basis. Next year, next season, we will know,” Raul said about the possibility of succeeding Ancelotti.
He added, “In this football thing, there is no such thing as next year. There is today and the next game. For Real Madrid it is the Champions League match, and for me it is the Murcia match on Sunday.”
