British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has lauded Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice for his mentality as the Gunners defeated Burnley 3-1 in a Premier League tie over the weekend.

Morgan hailed Rice for how he reacted to a bad challenge from a Burnley player during the encounter at Emirates Stadium.

During the challenge, Rice did not make a fuss and got back on his feet immediately, showing a thumbs-up to the referee.

However, Morgan, a die-hard Arsenal fan, took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to single out the England international for his attitude, hailing him as a ‘warrior’.

“Declan Rice just got wiped out in a foul, jumped straight back up, did a thumbs up to the ref (who booked the Burnley player anyway) and got on with running the game despite being obviously in a lot of pain.

“He’s such a warrior. @_DeclanRice #afc.” Morgan wrote.

Meanwhile, goals from Leandro Trossard, William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko gave Arsenal the victory over Burnley.
