Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane has slammed manager, Erik ten Hag for praising Bruno Fernandes who allowed Marcus Rashford take a penalty against Everton.
With United leading 1-0 thanks to Alejandro Garnacho’s super strike, the referee awarded a penalty for a foul on Anthony Martial.
Fernandes, who is the team’s designated penalty taker, opted to allow Rashford to take it.
The England forward stepped up and converted it, making it 2-0.
After the game, Keane criticized Ten Hag for supporting Fernandes’ decision.
He said: “He’s giving toffee out there to Bruno for passing on the ball for the penalty.
“Absolute bloody rubbish. Absolute rubbish coming out with that.”
