The Super Falcons of Nigeria have qualified for the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco next year.
This was possible after they defeated Cape Verde 2-1 on Tuesday night in the second leg playoff.
The Super Falcons progress 7-1 on aggregate, having won the first leg 5-0.
The Super Falcons have now qualified for every edition of the WAFCON since it started in 1998 in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, teams that have already picked qualification tickets for WAFCON 2024 are the host nation Morocco, champions South Africa, DR Congo, Tunisia, Ghana, Botswana and Algeria.
Others that have also qualified are Mali, Tanzania, Senegal and Zambia.
