Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has slammed Liverpool captain, Virgil van Dijk, for claiming only one side wanted to win Sunday’s Premier League clash.
The two rivals played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield.
After the game, van Dijk claimed the Reds “were superior in every aspect”.
However, Keane has labelled the Dutch defender as arrogant.
“There’s a lot of arrogance coming out of him, dissing Manchester United like that.
“He needs reminding that he is playing for a club that has won one title in 30-odd years.
“Manchester United are in a difficult place, just like Liverpool have been in a difficult place for many years. So maybe that arrogance backfired on him today,” Keane said on Sky Sports.
Liverpool recorded 34 shots and won 12 corners, but United could have won it on the counter-attack had Alisson Becker not saved from Rasmus Hojlund in the second half.
