Marius Hoibraten’s own goal gave the Premier League champions the lead.
City then added goals from Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva to seal the win.
The result meant that the record for European clubs against Asian teams at the Club World Cup was extended to 14 matches.
City will now play Fluminese in the final on Friday.
The final is billed for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
