Asake, Davido, Burna Boy, others make Obama’s favourite music of 2023 list

Former American President, Barack Obama has included four Nigerian songs in his favourite music of 2023 list.

The songs are ‘Unavailable’ by Davido featuring Musa Keys, ‘Amapiano’ by Asake featuring Olamide, ‘Me & U’ by Tems, and ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ by Burna Boy featuring 21 Savage.

South African singer, Tyla’s ‘Water’ was also included in the list released by the former US President on Friday.

The list featured music from around the world including Latino, pop, Afrobeats, Hip-hop, Grime, Reggaeton, Reggae, Dancehall, R&B, and Soul.

Sharing the list via his X handle, Obama wrote, “Here are some of my favourite songs from this year. Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out.”
