A young man identified as Abdullahi Ali Akwanga, has been killed by kidnappers who abducted his two brothers in Nasarawa State.
It was gathered that the abductors of his brothers had demanded N3m ransom to release the victims.
The deceased was shot dead by unknown gunmen along the Fadama-Ashiege road on Tuesday night, January 30, 2024, after he successfully delivered the ransom.
Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report but it is suspected that the abductors of his brothers trailed and killed him after collecting the ransom.
One Muhammad Ibrahim, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Wednesday, said the deceased was a graduate of the College of Education, Akwanga.
“He was not kidnapped but he was killed by the abductors of his two brothers when he took the ransom to the kidnappers. After he had taken the ransom he was shot to death by yet-to-be-identified persons who claimed to be kidnappers. Until his death, he was a graduate of the College of Education Akwanga. We pray for the repose of his soul. Rest in peace until we path no more brother Abdul.”
