The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode  Egbetokun, commended the integrity of SP Rilwan Kasumu and his team from the police tactical unit attached to Area K, Marogbo, Lagos State Command, for refusing a ₦4 million bribe during the investigation of a drug peddling and ammunition possession case.

This was revealed by the Police Force PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

He explained that on February 6, 2024, the team apprehended Esther Newman Obiekezie, 42, also known as Candy, at her residence on No 6, Mojirade Street, Ilogbo Lagos.

The arrest yielded a significant quantity of a substance known as ICE, along with AK47 live ammunition.
