Arsenal defender, Jurrien Timber has admitted he has been left ‘frustrated’ over his lack of playing time under manager, Mikel Arteta.
Timber joined Arsenal from Ajax last summer in a £38m deal.
However, he has only managed to make two appearances for the Gunners.
He picked up a nasty ACL injury on his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest.
The Netherlands international played for 76 minutes as Arsenal beat Manchester City in the Community Shield.
“Of course at some points it’s been difficult, because you are not playing, and that is the thing you love to do,” Timber told Arsenal’s website.
“Sometimes you really want to join the team – when you are enjoying the game so much you really want to get down there and be part of it.
“That is frustrating, because sometimes it looks so amazing you want to be part of it.”
