Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has heaped praises on Chelsea’s Noni Madueke for his impressive display during the Blues’ victory over Leicester City in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Sunday.
Madueke came on as a substitute for Raheem Sterling and scored a stunning goal to help Chelsea beat Leicester 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
His moment of brilliance in injury time secured the win for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Keown singled out his goal as “outstanding,” saying it would boost his confidence.
“Absolutely outstanding. What a finish, fantastic for his confidence. Sorts his feet out and he just hooks it, what a finish. Just bends it into the corner,” Keown said (via TBR football).
Madueke has now scored five goals and provided one assist in 22 appearances for Chelsea this season.
