Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag believes Marcus Rashford ‘inspired’ his teammates during the Red Devils’ FA Cup 4-3 win over Liverpool on Sunday.
Despite missing a big chance right at the end of normal time, Rashford scored in extra-time to make it 3-3 as Man United booked their spot in the FA Cup semi-finals, before Amad Diallo netted a winner in the 121st minute.
The England international has faced plenty of criticism both on and off the pitch this season.
However, Ten Hag feels Rashford was ‘resilient’ against Jurgen Klopp’s side at Old Trafford.
“Rashford is resilient, he keeps going, normally he finishes those moments but he keeps going for another chance,” Ten Hag told ITV after the game.
“That inspired the other players. We have a team that is for the future. Coming up are players who are developing very well like Diallo, Garnacho and Mainoo.”
