Sunshine Queens captain Suleiman Ajibade said the team is going on a revenge mission against Robo Queens in Akure.
Ajibade expressed optimism that Sunshine Queens will defeat the Lagos-based team convincingly in the Nigeria Women’s Football League matchday 10 fixture.
Both teams will square up at the Akure Township Stadium on Wednesday.
DAILY POST recalled that Robo Queens secured a 3-2 win in the first leg of the encounter in Lagos.
“We are ready to avenge the result of the first leg we played at Onikan Stadium, Lagos. We played very well against them,” she told the club’s media.
“We showed what we are made of, but the result went the other way, due to some factors I wouldn’t like to discuss here. I can assure you that we are going to score goals and win them convincingly today.
“Our camp is bubbling because we have unity of purpose to win the match against FC Robo. We are very happy; you can see the smiling faces of the players. Above all, we are ready to keep the maximum points in the kitty.
“We are psychologically, mentally and physically ready for the all-important game. All the players have agreed to play for their coaches, themselves and the people of the state.”
