Glenn Hoddle, a revered figure in Tottenham Hotspur history, showered praise on Cole Palmer following Chelsea’s commanding 5-0 triumph over West Ham United in the Premier League clash on Sunday.
Palmer, who seamlessly adapted to life at Stamford Bridge, notched his 21st league goal of the campaign just 15 minutes into the game.
The burgeoning playmaker also contributed nine crucial assists, underscoring his pivotal role in bolstering Chelsea’s attacking prowess.
Speaking with Premier League Productions, Hoddle couldn’t contain his admiration for Palmer’s remarkable influence on the pitch, asserting, “He is a super player, he really is.
“Chelsea have completely dominated, hardly breaking a sweat.”
Hoddle dissected Palmer’s performance, highlighting his ability to capitalize on defensive lapses: “If you leave this lad (Palmer) unmarked in such a position, he will punish you.
“Just look at the defending! Alvarez is preoccupied with Marc Cucurella’s movement into midfield when he should be tracking Palmer,” he added.
